It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to dump, throw or deposit in any manner tin cans, bottles, garbage, glassware, ashes or other debris of any kind into public roads, streets or thoroughfares, into gutters or ditches beside any public road, street or thoroughfare or into sewers or onto private or public property or into any streams within South Fayette Township.
Any person, firm or corporation which shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall, upon notification of a police officer of the township, remove the same within 24 hours of said notification, in default of which the township may cause the same to be done and collect the cost thereof from the person, firm or corporation found guilty of violating the terms of this chapter in accordance with law. A separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.

Any person, firm or corporation which shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall, in addition to abating the nuisance as set forth in § 148-2 hereof, upon summary conviction thereof before any District Justice in the County of Allegheny, be subject to a fine of not less than $25 and not more than $1,000, plus costs of prosecution and, in default of such fine and costs, to imprisonment in the county jail for a term of not more than 30 days.
