Except when a special hazard exists that requires lower speed for compliance with driving a vehicle at a safe speed, the limits specified in this section or established under this article shall be maximum lawful speeds, and no person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of the following maximum limits:
A. 
In any rural and/or residential area: 25 miles per hour.
B. 
In any urban area: 35 miles per hour.
C. 
Any other maximum speed limit established under this article as enumerated in Exhibit A hereof Exhibit A hereof is incorporated herein as though fully set forth below.[1]

The South Fayette Township Board of Commissioners is hereby empowered to modify, amend, delete and/or alter all or part of Exhibit A hereof by an official, legally adopted resolution of the Board of Commissioners.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in accordance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code (75 Pa. C.S.A. § 101 et seq.).
