It shall be unlawful from and after the adoption of this article to collect and discharge any stormwaters into the Township sanitary sewer system.
All downspouts and any and all other means of collecting and discharging stormwaters from the structures, buildings, and homes now situated in and served by the Township sanitary sewer districts shall be so installed that the point of discharge of said stormwaters shall be located above the surface of the ground so that the stormwaters shall discharge upon the ground surface or into an open drain or conduit which is not connected to the sanitary sewer system.
Any individual, firm, association, partnership, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, in a summary proceeding before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $100 and costs of prosecution and/or be sentenced to imprisonment in the Washington County Jail, Washington, Pennsylvania, for not more than 30 days, provided that each day's continuance of a violation of this article in any respect shall constitute a separate offense, and the violator may be separately arrested and convicted for each separate offense.
