From time to time there may be a Town Engineer(s) hired on a consultant basis (service contract) by the Council, upon the recommendation of the Administrator, in accordance with § C-104D.

He/she shall be a professional engineer licensed
by the State of Rhode Island.

The Town Engineer shall be the engineering advisor
to the Council for any or all of the departments of town government.
He/she shall make surveys, plans, maps, drawings and other engineering
projects as may be necessary to carry out town programs. He/she may
perform such other duties as may be required by the Council or by
laws of this state.
