[Adopted as Ch. XIV of the 1975 Municipal
Code]

In accordance with the results of the referendum
dated November 4, 1958, the provisions of the Civil Service Act of
the State of New Jersey were adopted for the City of Salem.
The Council shall establish the titles and positions
of employment for the City of Salem and shall annually fix the salaries
and compensation for those positions and for officers of the City.
