Any lawful use, lawfully located and existing in any building, or part thereof or upon any private land or premises or part thereof, at the time this chapter takes effect, may be continued in the same building or in the same part thereof or upon the same land or premises or upon the same part thereof, if lawfully located, even though such use does not conform to the regulations of the district in which such use is located.[1]
