[Derived from Ch. XX of the 1964 Code of Ordinances of the City of Monessen]
A real estate registry is hereby established by and for the City of Monessen, such real estate registry to be set up and maintained by the City Engineer as required by law. All owners of unregistered real estate in the city, and all persons hereafter acquiring title to any real estate in the city, shall be responsible for furnishing the City Engineer with descriptions of their respective properties and with presenting the deeds thereto to the Engineer for registry, in default of which such owners shall be liable to the penalty prescribed in Section 1519 of the Third Class City Code.[1]
