A. 
A fire lane is hereby created and established to a depth of no less than 30 feet and no more than 40 feet from the curb along the arterial side of the stores in the Arterial Plaza Shopping Center, and the lane shall be painted or otherwise appropriately marked "FIRE LANE."
B. 
A fire lane is hereby created and established to a depth of no less than 30 feet and no more than 40 feet from the curb along the front of the stores in the Nichols Shopping Center, or from the building where there is no curb, and the lane shall be painted or otherwise appropriately marked "FIRE LANE."
All parking of automobiles or other motor vehicles is at all times prohibited in the areas mentioned and described in § 31-1.

A. 
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of $20.

B. 
In the event that said fine of $20 is not paid within 10 days from the date of violation, the penalty shall be increased from $20 to $40.

C. 
In the event that said fine of $40 is not paid within 30 days from the date of violation, the penalty shall be increased from $40 to $60.

D. 
A plea of not guilty before the Justice Court or a written plea of not guilty presented to the Clerk of the Justice Court within 10 days of the issuance of a parking violation summons alleging a violation of this chapter, shall toll the penalty provisions contained in Subsections B and C of this section until such time as a disposition is made by the Court.
