The Borough Manager, after consultation and agreement with the
Chief of Police, shall erect on the streets of Towanda Borough signs
reading as follows: "no parking here to corner"; "loading and unloading
station"; "no parking on this side of the street"; "no parking between
signs"; and such other signs as may be directed by the Council which
shall plainly indicate directions to the drivers of vehicles, approved
under the police powers, and designed and intended to create or improve
public safety and the use of the public streets in Towanda Borough.
It shall be unlawful for any person operating or in control
of any vehicle to violate the directions given by said signs.
For a matter of two weeks after this article goes into effect
at points where new signs are erected, the officer finding a violation,
being satisfied that the violation was unintentional, may give a warning
to the party responsible, which shall be entered upon the police blotter.

Upon conviction before a Magisterial District Judge having jurisdiction
over the Borough, any person, natural or artificial, who violates
any provision of this article relating to parking shall be guilty
of a summary offense and be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than
$600 plus costs of prosecution for each offense and, in default of
payment thereof, shall undergo imprisonment in the Bradford County
Prison for a period not to exceed 30 days.

A. It shall be unlawful, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.,
during days when the Towanda public schools are in session, to park
or permit the parking of any vehicle on Wilmot Drive in the Borough
of Towanda, Pennsylvania.
B. Signs indicating that vehicular parking is prohibited, as vehicular parking is prohibited under Subsection
A, shall be placed along the north and south curbs of Wilmot Drive. At least one sign shall be placed on each side of the street between each Wilmot Drive intersection.
C. If any person shall violate Subsection
A, that person, for each violation, shall pay a fine of $25 and the costs of prosecution.
This article shall not affect, modify or change the ordinance
relating to parking on the streets of Towanda Borough during periods
of snowstorms and while the streets are being cleared.
