The Town of Putnam Pension Committee shall consist of five members
appointed by the Mayor upon advice and consent of the majority of
the Board of Selectmen, plus the Mayor, who shall be an ex-officio
voting member, and all such members shall serve two-year terms contemporaneous
with the Mayor's term. The committee shall administer the Town pension
plan pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-450 of the Connecticut
General Statutes. Pursuant to 7-450A, no ordinance altering the pension
or retirement system shall be enacted until the legislative body has
requested, received and approved a qualified cost estimate from an
enrolled actuary.
