Parking of vehicles without lights shall be permitted at the side of any street or alley at any point within 300 feet of a street light.

§ 17-122 Parking Prohibited in Certain Locations.

It shall be unlawful to park a vehicle at any time in any of the following locations:

§ 17-124 Parking Time Limited in Certain Locations, Certain Days and Hours.

It shall be unlawful to park a vehicle, or to allow the same to remain parked, in any of the following locations, for longer than the time herein indicated, on any day and at the time herein indicated:

§ 17-126 Angle Parking Permitted on Portions of Certain Streets.

Only angle parking shall be permitted on the following portions of streets:

§ 17-128 Parking of Certain Vehicles in Certain Locations Prohibited.

Except for commercial delivery and services in the normal course of business, there shall be no parking of trucks of the following nature on the Borough streets in any residential district in the Borough at any time:

Trucks over Class III.

Any dual-wheeled vehicles and/or any vehicle designed specifically to be used with dual wheels.

Motor homes over 8,000 pounds.

Trucks, tractor trailers and/or the combination of both.

Farm tractors.

Semi-trailers or any oversized vehicle as set forth in the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code.

Buses and school buses with a seating capacity in excess of 27 persons.

There shall be no parking of trucks of the following nature on any of the Borough's parking lots at any time, with the exception of Subsection 3:

Trucks over Class III.

Any dual-wheeled vehicles and/or any vehicle designed specifically to be used with dual wheels.

Motor homes over 8,000 pounds.

Trucks, tractor trailers and/or the combination of both.

Farm tractors.

Semi-trailers or any oversized vehicle as set forth in the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code.

Buses and school buses with a seating capacity in excess of 27 persons.

The following truck parking shall be allowed in the Borough's public parking lot at the intersection of Park Road and Thompson Street:

Trucks Class IV-b or lighter.

Dual-wheeled vehicles with a weight class of IV-b or lighter.

§ 17-129 Parking Time Limited on Public Streets.

No vehicles shall be permitted to remain parked on the public streets or other public parking areas of the Borough of Mifflinburg for any continuous period in excess of 24 hours.

Authority is hereby granted to officials of the Borough of Mifflinburg to remove and impound vehicles in violation of this provision of this Part 1. Such removal shall be in accordance with the provisions of §§ 17-301 thru 17-309 of this chapter.

§ 17-130 Mechanical Repairs Forbidden.

No person shall perform mechanical repairs on any vehicle on the public highways or the public parking areas of the Borough of Mifflinburg.

§ 17-131 Parking Prohibited During Street Cleaning.

The Borough of Mifflinburg shall maintain the following street cleaning schedule throughout the year:

It shall be unlawful for any person to place or park any vehicle on the above-mentioned streets on the respective cleaning days between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon or until the street sweeper has cleaned that particular street.

§ 17-132 Parking at or Near the Herr Memorial Library.

Parking in the three designated parking stalls in front of the property of the Herr Memorial Library and situate on the north side of Market Street in the Borough shall be reserved for library patrons only, during the following hours of each week:

11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday

7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday

10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday

§ 17-133 Parking at the Borough Fifth Street Parking Lot.

The Borough does hereby authorize the removal of all parking meters in the Fifth Street parking lot and further provides that this parking lot shall be a free parking facility for the benefit of the public.

§ 17-134 Vehicles to be Parked Wholly Within Marked Spaces.

It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle across any line or marking designating a parking space, or to park said vehicle in any way that the same shall not be wholly within a parking space as designated by said lines or markings.
