A Recreation Advisory Committee is hereby established in and for the Village of Sleepy Hollow to advise and consult with the Board of Trustees and Recreation Department regarding recreation and parks located within the Village.
The Recreation Advisory Committee shall consist of seven members, all of whom shall be residents of the Village of Sleepy Hollow and who shall not hold any other position, elective or appointive, under the municipality. The members shall be appointed by the Mayor. The members of the Committee first appointed shall be appointed for such terms that the term of one member shall expire annually thereafter, and their successors shall thereafter be appointed to serve terms of years which shall total in number the membership of the Committee.
Members of such Committee shall serve without pay. Vacancies in such Committee occurring otherwise than by expiration of term shall be for the unexpired term and shall be filled in the same manner as original appointments.
A member of the Committee may be removed for cause upon written charges presented by the governing body of the Village and after notice of such charges and a public hearing thereon.
