Former Art. I, Building Regulations, adopted 11-13-1967 as Sec. 9.01 of the 1967 Code, as amended, and Art. II, Building Committee, adopted 11-13-1967 as Sec. 9.05 of the 1967 Code, were repealed 4-10-2017. The ordinance adopted this date also provided for the redesignation of former Arts. III through V as Arts. I through III, respectively.
A. 
Chapter SPS 322, Energy Conservation, Wis. Adm. Code, of the One- and Two-Family Dwelling Code, as adopted and effective December 1, 1978, and Chs. SPS 320, 321, 323, 324 and 325, Wis. Adm. Code, adopted and effective June 1, 1980, and all amendments thereto, are adopted and incorporated in this article by reference.
B. 
The Building Inspector, as certified by the Department of Safety and Professional Services, is hereby authorized and directed to administer and enforce all of the provisions of the Wisconsin Uniform Dwelling Code.
C. 
Any existing ordinances pertaining to the construction of new dwellings that conflict with the Uniform Dwelling Code are hereby repealed.
D. 
The codes adopted by reference herein shall apply to all structural alterations and additions as well as to all new construction in the Village of Rothschild.
No person shall build or cause to be built any one- or two-family dwelling without first obtaining a state uniform building permit for such dwelling. Such building permit shall be furnished by the Village of Rothschild. A copy of such permit issued shall be filed with the Village Clerk. A permit shall be automatically revoked if the project set forth on the permit is not completed within two years from the date of issuance of the permit.
The building permit fee shall be determined by the Village Board.

The Village Board shall enforce this article and all other laws and ordinances relating to buildings by means of withholding building permits, and any person violating this article shall be subject to § 1-2 of this Code.
If any section, clause, provision or portion of this article or Chs. SPS 320, 321, 322, 323, 324 and 325, Wis. Adm. Code, is adjudged unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall not be affected thereby.
