Fire service and assistance to volunteer fire companies in municipalities
near or adjacent to the City of Warren may be carried out as provided
through the mutual aid programs of fire departments in Warren County.
The assistance to areas outside the City of Warren shall be
carried out in a manner determined by the Fire Chief of Warren City
Fire Department and approved by the City Manager. Such assistance
shall be for the purposes of fire suppression and/or communications
related thereto.
When assistance as provided in § 46-2 of this chapter is carried out, the Fire Chief shall determine the extent to which apparatus, equipment and manpower of Warren City may be committed. The Fire Chief shall make such determination by keeping in mind the primary purpose of providing fire protection to the City of Warren.
No service by or through the Warren Fire Department's communication
system and/or alarm systems shall be extended to any property, building
or premises until an agreement between the owner or occupant of such
property enters into a contract with the City as authorized and approved
by Council. The compensation to be paid to the City for such services
shall be as determined by Council from time to time.
