Any person desiring to trim, cut down, or remove any trees within the limits of any streets of the Borough, or adjacent to such streets, which are in proximity to the electric lines or other public utility lines erected on said streets shall first secure from the Code Enforcement Officer a permit so to do for a cost of $10.
Upon the issuing of said permit, the person receiving the same shall fix a time, suitable to the Electric Department of the Borough, when such trimming, cutting down, or removing of trees is to be done, and the Electric Department of the Borough shall have a representative at the scene to see that such work is done in a manner that does not interfere with or knock down any electric or public utility line.

Any person violating terms of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the payment of a fine of not more than $300 and/or to undergo imprisonment not in excess of 90 days; further, any person trimming, cutting down, or removing a tree or trees in violation of the terms of this chapter shall pay for any damage done to any electric or public utility lines.
