A party requesting a dedicated handicapped parking space, pursuant
to N.J.S.A. 39:4-197.6, shall complete an application on forms provided
by the Roselle Police Department, and upon payment of a nonrefundable
fee of $25, the Police Department shall review the application and
investigate the proposed site and confirm that the applicant is a
holder of a valid handicap permit. Upon completion of the investigation,
the Police Department shall, on the form provided, submit to Mayor
and Council the data compiled for evaluation by the governing body.
Mayor and Council shall determine to grant the request, upon
the receipt of the sum of $150, said sum representing a portion of
the cost to purchase and install appropriate requisite signage and
publication of the ordinance establishing the space.
