The Borough of New Milford may, at the receipt of a written request from an employee, provide for the deposit of net pay, in a specific banking institution in a designated checking account, savings account or share account. Employees shall indicate in a written letter submitted to the Borough of New Milford Payroll Control and Certifying Officer his or her desire to have his or her net pay deposited in the specific account designated. The Borough's Payroll Control and Certifying Officer shall effectuate the deposit in the designated banking institution on behalf of the "employee" as defined in Public Law 1981, Chapter 385, (c.52:14-15a et seq.). Seasonal and temporary employees who are employed by the Borough of New Milford are exempt from this direct deposit section of Chapter 24 of the Revised General Ordinances of the Borough of New Milford.
