There is established a City Council Committee on Senior Citizen Services which shall consist of three (3) members of the City Council who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council.

A. 
The duties of the Committee on Senior Citizen Services are hereby defined and declared to be as follows:
1. 
To formulate and administer applications for the use, expenditure and administration of revenue generated by the sales tax dedicated for use on senior citizen services, to formulate criteria for the allocation of said funds and to make recommendations to the City Council for the allocation of said funds.
2. 
To see that the funds allocated in relation to senior citizen services are properly spent as intended.
3. 
To research and advise the City on the needs of senior citizens and to make recommendations regarding the expenditures from the sales tax dedicated for use on senior citizen services.
4. 
To study, review, evaluate and make recommendations to the City Council on any matters affecting senior citizens in the City, including health, education, employment, housing, transportation and recreation.
