Pursuant to § 10 of the Municipal Home Rule Law and §
22-2200 of the Village Law, the Village seeks to create a special
assessment. The purpose of this article is to create a special assessment
for the seasonal collection of leaves. The special assessment will
appear on residents' tax bills who own property along, or in some
cases abutting, public streets within the Village of North Haven,
as these residents benefit from the improvement. The amount of the
assessment will be determined annually during the budgeting process.
The amount will be determined by May 1 of each year.

Pursuant to § 10 of the Municipal Home Rule Law and
§ 22-2200 of the Village Law, the Village will set the amount
of the special assessment charged to each residence (see attached
list)[1] relating to the adoption of Local Law No. 2 of 2021. The
purpose of this article is to create a special assessment for the
seasonal collection of leaves. The special assessment in the amount
of $150 will appear on residents' tax bills who own property
along, or in some cases abutting, public streets within the Village
of North Haven, as these residents benefit from the improvement. The
amount of the assessment will be determined annually during the budgeting
process. The amount will be determined by May 1 of each year. A listing
of properties is available at Village Hall or on the Village's
website at northhavenny us.
