Utility, power or telephone poles to be located in excess of seven feet from a lot line bordering a street shall require a building permit, and all floodlight poles shall require a building permit.
Building permits issued to public utility companies as to utility, power or telephone poles for customer service shall require no building permit fee. The building permit fee for all other towers and poles shall be $5.
Poles shall not exceed 35 feet in height above ground level except when higher poles are required in order to comply with accepted utility industry and governmental standards for installation of utility distribution lines and upon issuance of a special permit by the Board of Trustees.
A. 
Antennas and antenna-supporting structures to be erected on a building roof shall not exceed 15 feet in height and shall not require a building permit.
B. 
Detached antennas and antenna-supporting structures shall be permitted as accessory buildings as defined in Chapter 163, Zoning, of this Code and shall not exceed 35 feet in height.
Satellite antennas and related equipment capable of receiving radio and television signals from earth-orbiting satellites shall not exceed four feet in diameter and shall be designed to withstand wind velocities of up to 120 miles per hour.
A. 
In any lot contained in a subdivision plat hereafter approved by the Planning Board or in an existing subdivision plat heretofore approved by the Planning Board in which no buildings have been erected and no building permit for a building has been issued prior to the effective date of this provision, all utility, power and communication lines shall be installed underground.
B. 
A statement that all such lines have been installed underground shall be filed with the Building Inspector before a certificate of occupancy for any building on such a lot shall be issued by the Building Inspector.
All electrical power transmission lines with an electrical potential exceeding 20,000 volts constructed after the effective date of this chapter shall be installed underground.

Any person committing an offense against any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation pursuant to the Penal Law of the State of New York, punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this chapter shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.
