A. 
Eligibility for the stipend program is limited to volunteer firefighters and must be preapproved by the Chief or Deputy Chief of the Riverton Fire Department.
B. 
Firefighters must have a current FF I Certification.
C. 
"Explorers" are not eligible for the program.
D. 
Members on administrative leave, suspension and/or unavailable for the above activities as a result of a disciplinary action are not eligible for stipends during such period.
A. 
The annual cycle will be from January 1 to December 15 of each year.
B. 
The stipend program will be capped as not to exceed the budgeted amount for any given year. Stipend payments will be made after the close of the annual cycle.
A. 
Response to calls made between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. shall receive $10 per call.
B. 
Response to calls made between the hours of 3:01 p.m. to 6:59 a.m. shall receive $5 per call.
C. 
All volunteer responders must respond on the appropriate emergency vehicle.
D. 
Duty Crew on standby and Special Event shall also be eligible per call at the discretion of the Chief or Deputy Chief
A. 
To the extent that the aggregate of the earned stipend payments exceeds the budgeted amount for the Stipend Program all payouts shall be abated pro rata to meet the budget threshold.
B. 
Members shall not exceed $599.99 in this program per annual cycle.
C. 
Stipends shall be calculated at the close of the annual cycle by the Chief or Deputy Chief of Riverton Fire Department.
D. 
Chief or Deputy Chief shall provide a report of stipends due to the Borough's Treasurer for payments to be processed.
E. 
Final amount due to volunteer firefighter shall be subject to all conditions and limitations set forth in the policy.
