1-1-1
The inhabitants of the town of Yarmouth within the territorial limits
established by law, shall continue to be a body corporate and politic
under the name town of Yarmouth.
1-2-1
This instrument shall be known and may be cited as the town of Yarmouth
home rule charter.
1-3-1
The legislative powers of the town shall be vested in the town meeting.
The executive powers of the town shall be vested in the board of selectmen.
The administrative powers of the town shall be vested in the town
administrator.

It is the intent of the voters of the town of Yarmouth, through the
adoption of the charter, to secure for the town of Yarmouth all of
the powers possible under the constitution and the General Laws of
the commonwealth, as fully and as completely as though each such power
were specifically and individually enumerated herein.
1-6-1
The town may enter into agreements with any other agency of municipal
government, agency of the commonwealth, other states, or the United
States government to perform jointly, by contract, or otherwise, any
of its powers or functions and may participate in the financing thereof.
