Abandoned vehicles shall be removed, stored and disposed of in accordance with the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Impounded vehicles shall be stored and disposed of as an abandoned vehicle in accordance with the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
The Town may convert to its own use, in any calendar year, the maximum number of unclaimed vehicles permitted by the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
An abandoned or removed vehicle may be redeemed up to the time ownership of the vehicle vests in the Town pursuant to the Vehicle and Traffic Law, except that, in the discretion of the Town Clerk, the vehicle may be redeemed any time prior to sale of the vehicle or its conversion to Town use upon payment of any additional charges that the Town may have incurred with respect to the vehicle.

A. 
The last owner or person entitled to possession of an abandoned vehicle may redeem the vehicle up to the time permitted in § 60-5 upon submission of proof of ownership or entitlement and payment to the Town Clerk of all reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by the Town for removal and storage of said vehicle.
B. 
The Commissioner of Aviation and Transportation shall establish a schedule of charges for impounded vehicles.
