A Civil Service Commission be established for the Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Morrisville whose duty it shall be to pass upon applicants for appointment to the Police Department of the aforesaid Borough, their promotion and removal and to perform all other duties pursuant to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Police Civil Service Law of 1941, as amended.[1]

Editor's Note: The Act of 1941 P.L. 84, so far as it related to boroughs, was repealed by the Act of 1947 P.L. 1621 § 95, but its provisions with certain changes were reenacted in that Act (1927 P.L. 519 §§ 1165 to 1190 added 1947 P.L. 1621 § 39) and later incorporated into the Borough Code 53 P.S. §  46172 et seq.
The Civil Service Commission shall consist of three Commissioners who shall be qualified electors of the Borough of Morrisville and the first Commissioners are Charles C. Young, Jr., who shall serve for a term of two years; Raymond Dreisbach, who shall serve for a term of four years; and Donald L. Ward, Sr., who shall serve for a term of six years; and as the terms of the aforesaid persons shall expire, the Borough Council shall appoint Commissioners who shall be appointed for terms of six years.
