No person or persons, firm, association or corporation shall expose, display, post up, exhibit, paint, or mark or place, or cause or permit to be exhibited, painted, printed, marked or placed, any placard, poster, bill, emblem or figure upon any building, billboard, wall, fence, tree or other surface on any street or public place, or which shall be visible from any street or public place in the Village of Island Park, which shall be of lewd, indecent, immodest, immoral, vulgar or suggestive character, or which shall be calculated to debauch the public or shock the sense of decency or propriety.
Any person committing an offense against this article shall be guilty of a violation punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a period not exceeding 15 days for each offense, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
