The Division of Code Enforcement and Building
Inspections is hereby established in the Department of Community Services
in the Township.
The Division shall consist of the municipal enforcing agency pursuant to Chapter 114, Building Construction, § 114-1A, Enforcing agency; the Construction Code Official and Subcode Officials; the public officers as referenced in § 114-2, Building Code, and Chapter 230, Multiple Dwellings, Article I, Housing Code for Multiple Dwellings, and such other officials and personnel as shall be required by the State Uniform Construction Code or the regulations promulgated thereunder at N.J.A.C. 5:23-1.1 et seq., or as the Mayor shall determine. The head and chief administrator of the Division shall be the Construction Official.
