A. 
Zoning permits shall be secured prior to the commencement of a use or the erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, conversion or installation of a structure or building and any part thereof.
B. 
Zoning permit fees. Application for zoning permit shall be made on such forms required by the City of Rahway and shall be accompanied by a permit fee in the amount of $20.
C. 
All requests for zoning permits shall be made by application by the owner or his authorized agent and shall be accompanied by a survey and construction plans drawn to scale, if appropriate. Plans shall show the size and location of all existing and proposed buildings or structures.

The provisions of this chapter shall be administered and enforced by the Zoning Officer/Administration Officer of the City of Rahway.
B. 
In no case shall a permit be granted for the construction or alteration of any building or structure where the proposed construction, alteration, or use thereof would be in violation of any provision of the chapter.

No building permit shall be issued until all requirements of this section and chapter shall be met.
B. 
Application for building permits shall be made in the manner prescribed in the State Uniform Construction Code Act.
Applications for conditional uses, variances, site plans, and other development matters, as defined in this chapter, Chapter 369, Subdivision of Land, Chapter 349, Site Plan Review, and Chapter 53, Land Use Procedures, of the City of Rahway, shall be filed in accordance with those chapters.
No building or structure shall be occupied or used in whole or in part unless and until a certificate of occupancy has been issued in accordance with Chapter 177 of this Code, Construction Codes, Uniform.
