The Village of Westfield is a body corporate and politic with the powers of a municipality at common law and governed by the provisions of Chs. 61 and 66, Wis. Stats., laws amending those chapters, other acts of the legislature and the Constitution of the State of Wisconsin.
The official newspaper of the Village of Westfield shall be the Marquette County Tribune, located in the City of Montello, County of Marquette, State of Wisconsin.
Wisconsin law requires all Villages with a population of 1,000 or more to establish wards following publication of the final results of the 1980 census. The results of said census show that the Village of Westfield had a population of 1,033 requiring the establishment of two wards within the Village limits of the Village of Westfield. Wards 1 and 2 shall consist of that territory shown on the attached Ward Map.[2]

The Westfield Village Board deemed it to be in the best interest of the citizens of the Village to establish a single polling place within the Village. The Village has maintained a single polling place at the Village Hall, 124 East Third Street, Westfield, Wisconsin, in past elections and it has not had dual polling locations since the wards for the Village of Westfield were established. Pursuant to § 5.15(6)(b), Wis. Stats., both Ward 1 and Ward 2 of the Village of Westfield will vote at the Village Hall located at 124 East Third Street, Westfield, Wisconsin.
