No person shall act, play or perform any play, farce, interlude, show, opera or other theatrical or dramatic performance or entertainment or give any public exhibition or amusement in any public hall or theater of the City without first applying to the City Clerk and obtaining a license therefor, for which such person shall pay as follows:
A. 
For each exhibition or performance in any hall or theater of a seating capacity of more than 300: $5.
B. 
For each exhibition or performance in any hall or theater of a seating capacity of 300 or fewer: $2.50.
C. 
In lieu of the above rates for each exhibition, the owner or lessee of any hall or theater of a seating capacity of 300 or less shall pay an annual license therefor of $50, and the owner or lessee of any hall or theater of a seating capacity of more than 300 shall pay an annual license fee of $100.

Any person or persons violating any provision of this Article shall be punished as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II.
