The office of Municipal Prosecutor of the Borough, heretofore established, is hereby continued.
The Mayor shall nominate and, with the advice and consent of the Council, appoint the Municipal Prosecutor in accordance with and pursuant to the statutes governing the appointment of the Borough Prosecutor.
The term of the Municipal Prosecutor shall commence on January 1 and terminate on December 31 of each year.
The Municipal Prosecutor shall appear in the Municipal Court of the Borough and conduct the prosecution of matters pending therein when so requested by the Municipal Judge or by any authorized officer of the Borough or of any of the Borough's duly constituted bodies, boards or agencies.[1]
