The office of Municipal Public Defender of the Borough is hereby established.
The Mayor shall nominate, with the advice and consent of the Council, and appoint the Municipal Public Defender in accordance with and pursuant to the statutes governing said appointment.
The term of Municipal Public Defender shall commence on January 1 and terminate on December 31 of each year.
The Municipal Public Defender shall appear in Municipal Court of the Borough when requested to do so by the Court and conduct the defense of matters pending therein.[2]
