There is hereby created the office of Deputy Tax Collector in the City of Margate City, New Jersey. The Deputy Tax Collector shall be appointed by the Board of Commissioners for a term of four years.
A. 
The Deputy Tax Collector shall assist the Tax Collector in the performance of the duties of the Tax Collector in the keeping of accurate records required of the office of the Tax Collector by the statutes of the State of New Jersey and the ordinances of the City of Margate City and as may be required by the Board of Commissioners from time to time.
B. 
The Deputy Tax Collector shall perform all of the duties required of the office of the Tax Collector by the statutes of the State of New Jersey and the ordinances of the City of Margate City and shall have all of the powers of said Tax Collector during such times and for such specific periods as the Tax Collector shall be absent from his office.
A surety company bond shall be provided for the Deputy Tax Collector for faithful performance of duty as provided by law.
