It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully
or maliciously torture, torment, beat, kick, strike, mutilate, injure,
disable or kill any dog or to interfere with or meddle with any such
dog while such dog is being used by any Police Department or its personnel
in the performance of its duties.

Any person adjudged guilty of the violation
of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof,
be punished by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or be imprisoned for a
term not exceeding 90 days, or both, at the discretion of the Municipal
Judge of the City of Margate City.
