Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey statute, every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this chapter or a supplement thereto shall be subject to such penalties as are provided for in Article I of Chapter 1 of the Code of the Borough of Netcong except that any operator of a vehicle that is convicted of a violation of § 268-12 shall be assessed a $500 penalty.
