As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
OFFENSES AGAINST THE PUBLIC PEACE, SAFETY AND MORALS
Includes but shall not be limited to, mugging, assaults, assault and battery, consumption of alcoholic beverages on a public street, drunkenness, begging, sale and use of narcotics or other drugs and larceny, burglary and robbery, violation of curfew laws and disorderly persons violations.
SUPERVISION
The exercise of control over a minor child, knowing his whereabouts, knowing with whom he associates and in what activities he or she may engage in which would affect or offend the public peace, safety and morals.
A. 
It shall be unlawful for any parent, legal guardian or other person having the care or custody of a minor child under 18 years of age by any act or work, or the failure to act or by the lack of supervision and control over the minor child, to encourage, contribute towards, cause or tend to cause the child to become delinquent by reason of the activities of the minor child within the Township.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for any parent, legal guardian or other person having custody and care of any minor child under the age of 18 who shall assist, aid, abet, allow, permit and encourage the minor to violate the provision of this chapter or any other ordinance of the Township as defined herein, either by overt act, by failing to act, or by lack of supervision and control over said minor child.
The fact that a child under the age of 18 years is apprehended while on any public streets or parks during the hours of curfew shall be prima facie evidence of a violation of this chapter on the part of the parents, legal guardian or other person having custody or care of said minor.

Any person under the age of 18 years apprehended for offenses against the public peace, as defined herein, or any other ordinance of the Township or any laws of the State of New Jersey who shall be brought before a Judge of the Superior Court, and upon the Court's determination that the minor is a delinquent or in need of supervision, the parent, legal guardian or other person having care and custody of the minor shall be summoned before the Judge of the Municipal Court of the Township and ordered to provide supervision of the minor. The failure of the parent, legal guardian or other person having custody of the minor child upon a second offense and finding of delinquency or the continued need of supervision, shall cause the parent, legal guardian or other person having custody of the minor child to be subject to the penalties provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty. The remedy provisions of this chapter shall be cumulative, not exclusive, and the state or any other person shall have the right to proceed under any other legally available remedy.
