A. 
No person shall operate a motor vehicle or a motorcycle upon a public highway in this City at a speed greater than 30 miles per hour, except that on the public highway known and designated as "Route 30A Arterial Highway" a speed not in excess of 55 miles per hour shall be lawful unless otherwise posted.
B. 
No person shall operate a motor vehicle or a motorcycle in designated areas at a speed greater than 25 miles per hour when flashing beacon signals are in operation.

C. 
No person shall operate a motor vehicle or a motorcycle within 300 feet of the building line in either direction on a public street in the following designated school zones at a speed greater than 15 miles per hour during school days between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
(1) 
Boulevard School: Prospect Avenue and East Boulevard.
(2) 
Kingsborough School: West Eleventh Avenue.
(3) 
McNab School: West Fulton Street, North McNab Street, South McNab Street and Summer Street.
(4) 
Park Terrace: Bloomingdale Avenue and Meyers Parkway.
(5) 
Lincoln Street leading to the City limit/boundary and Spring Street leading to the City limit/boundary.

(6) 
Gloversville High School: extension of Lincoln Street as it bends around into the extension of Spring Street.
D. 
No person shall operate a motor vehicle or a motorcycle at a speed greater than 25 miles per hour in the downtown area of Main Street between Spring Street and Forest Street.

Any person violating the provisions of § 284-13 hereof shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of not exceeding $100 or imprisonment for 30 days, or both such fine and imprisonment.
