The office of Deputy Township Clerk is hereby established. The appointment thereto shall be made by the Township Committee for a term of one year to commence on January 1 of each year. It shall be the duty of the Deputy Township Clerk generally to aid and assist the Township Clerk in the performance of the duties of his/her office in such manner as the Township Clerk shall direct. The Deputy Township Clerk shall perform the duties of the Township Clerk in the latter's absence or incapacity.
