Whenever a Township officer or employee is reviewing a proposal or bid or negotiating on behalf of the Township with any firm and becomes aware, by any means, of either of the following: that a former Township employee, employed by the Township within one year from the date of such proposal or bid, is associated with the firm, or that a principal of the firm has been indicted and/or convicted for actions relating to the operation of that firm, that said Township employee shall advise the Business Administrator, who will thereafter first attempt to ascertain the facts by asking the individual(s) involved to set forth (their) respective employment and/or indictment/conviction in writing so that the officer or employee may present such information to the Mayor and Township Council.
