The terms of office of Mayor and all Trustees are hereby extended to four years.
General Village elections commencing in 1985 shall be held biennially thereafter in the odd-numbered years as provided by law.[1]

This article shall be subject to a permissive referendum as provided in § 9-902 of the Village Law.[1]

Subject to the provisions of Article 9 of the Village Law, this article shall become effective immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State but not earlier than 30 days after its adoption.
