No poultry, rabbits, pigeons, reptiles, rodents, livestock or other animals or fowl shall be maintained in the Village nor shall any person maintain on premises owned, leased or controlled by them in the Village, any poultry, rabbits, pigeons, reptiles, rodents, livestock or other animals or fowl.
This article shall not be construed to apply to animals maintained as household pets.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be liable for a fine not to exceed $250 for each offense or by imprisonment not exceeding 15 days, or both. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
