Town of Oneonta, NY Authorized Personnel

Those persons, firms, partnerships, companies and or corporations who shall be deemed authorized to install sanitary sewers or building sewers for connection to the public sewer upon any private property within the district in conformity with this Part 1, following application for and receipt of proper permit, shall be as follows:

Any property owner may install any portion of the building drain, building sewer or other sewer lines contained upon the owner's private property and extending therefrom to the public sanitary sewer.

Any plumber evidencing a current plumbing license from any other municipality shall be deemed an authorized person.

Any other person shall be deemed an authorized person upon registering with the Town Clerk of the Town of Oneonta and providing a certificate of insurance to the town providing that the authorized person has workmen's compensation coverage, public liability coverage with minimum limits of $100,000/$300,000/$50,000, including completed operations coverage, said certificate of insurance to provide that such insurance cannot be canceled following presentment of certificate without notification to the Town of Oneonta.
