It shall be unlawful to remove, cut down, trim or damage any tree or shrub in any or other public space under the care and custody of the Hopedale Parks Commissioners. Such trees and shrubs may be removed, cut down or trimmed by the Hopedale Parks Commissioners in accordance with Chapter 87 of the Massachusetts General Laws. A violation of this section shall be punished by a fine of $100 for the first offense, $200 for the second offense, and $300 for the third and subsequent offense. Whoever violates any provision of this section may, in the discretion of the Parks Commissioners or any officer of the Police Department, be penalized by a noncriminal complaint pursuant to the provisions of MGL c. 40, § 21D, and the Town's Noncriminal Disposition Bylaw (Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, Penalties; Noncriminal Disposition). For the purpose of this provision, the penalty to apply in the event of a violation shall be $100 for the first offense, $200 for the second offense, and $300 for the third and subsequent offense.

It shall be unlawful to leave or fail to remove domesticated or privately owned animals unattended on land in any park or other public space under the care and custody of the Hopedale Parks Commissioners, including the water of Hopedale Pond. The provisions of this section shall not be applicable to any individual or group who has received permission, in advance, from the Hopedale Parks Commissioners. A violation of this section shall be punished by a fine of $100 per animal for the first offense, $200 per animal the second offense, and $300 per animal the third and subsequent offense. Whoever violates any provision of this section may, in the discretion of the Parks Commissioners or any officer of the Police Department, be penalized by a noncriminal complaint pursuant to the provisions of MGL c. 40, § 21D, and the Town's Noncriminal Disposition Bylaw (Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, Penalties; Noncriminal Disposition). Whoever violates any provision of this section may, in the discretion of the Parks Commissioners or any officer of the Police Department, be penalized by a noncriminal complaint pursuant to the provisions of MGL c. 40, § 21D, and the Town's Noncriminal Disposition Bylaw (Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, Penalties; Noncriminal Disposition). For the purpose of this provision, the penalty to apply in the event of a violation shall be $10 for the first offense, $25 for the second offense, and $50 for the third and subsequent offense.
It shall be unlawful to ice fish on the Hopedale Pond in the area between the Freedom Street Bridge and the Bath House side farthest opposite the Freedom Street Bridge. A violation of this section shall be punished by a fine of $25 for the first offense, $50 for the second offense, and $100 for the third and subsequent offense. Whoever violates any provision of this section may, in the discretion of the Parks Commissioners or any officer of the Police Department, be penalized by a noncriminal complaint pursuant to the provisions of MGL c. 40, § 21D, and the Town's Noncriminal Disposition Bylaw (Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, Penalties; Noncriminal Disposition). For the purpose of this provision, the penalty to apply in the event of a violation shall be $25 for the first offense, $50 for the second offense, and $100 for the third and subsequent offense.
