For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms, words and phrases shall have the meanings indicated:
BUSINESS ENTITY
Any sole proprietorship, firm, partnership, corporation, association or other organization recognized to do business under the laws of the State of New Jersey.
CHIEF LICENSE INSPECTOR
The person empowered under § 7-60 and Article II of Chapter 485 to issue and enforce all provisions of this Code pertaining to the licensing of commercial activities and facilities.
CODE
The Code of the City of Camden, as amended and revised from time to time by the City Council.[1]
DIRECTOR
Shall refer to the Director of Code Enforcement.
FOOD TRUCK
An enclosed motor vehicle equipped with equipment and facilities, including, but not be limited to, cookers, grills smokers and other similar equipment for preparing, cooking and then selling various types and forms of food products and beverages, which upon issuance of a license by the City of Camden may temporarily park upon an approved public street or in an approved public parking lot and engage in the preparation, service, sale or distribution of prepared and other forms of food products and beverages to the general public. A food truck shall be no more than seven feet wide and no more than 20 feet long.

FROZEN DESSERT TRUCK
Every motor vehicle in which frozen desserts, as defined under N.J.S.A. 39:4-128.3d, are carried for purposes of retail sale on the streets of Camden.
MOTOR VEHICLE
Includes all vehicles propelled otherwise than by muscular power, excepting such vehicles as run only upon rails or tracks.
PEDDLER
Any person, as defined in this chapter, engaged in the business of going from place to place or from house to house carrying for sale and exposure for sale any goods, wares or merchandise, personal service, food, food product or beverage for the purpose of selling and delivering such goods to consumers. Such term shall include but shall not be limited to street photographers, shoeshines and vendors of frozen desserts, prepared lunches, flowers, fruits and vegetables and any person licensed pursuant to N.J.S.A. 45:24-9 et seq.
PERSON
Any human being, whether male or female.
VENDING UNIT
Any freestanding pushcart, wagon, table, shelving unit, rack vehicle or device, except for a food truck defined above, which may be moved, with or without assistance of a motor, which is used in the preparation, display, sale, transportation or storage of any good, wares or merchandise, personal service, food, food product or beverage intended for sale, consumption or distribution on or over the streets, highways or sidewalks of the City of Camden.
WATERFRONT ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT
That area bounded by Pearl Street on the North, Third Street on the East, Clinton Street on the South, and the Delaware River on the West.
