In order to adequately protect public safety at events and gatherings in the town involving more than 5,000 persons, it shall be required that the Fire Department be given at least 10 days' notice prior to the holding of such events or gatherings by the sponsor thereof.
A. 
The Fire Chief, in his discretion, may order stationing of emergency medical technicians and/or fire fighters, ambulances or fire apparatus at such events or gatherings.
B. 
The Fire Chief may require the attendance of one medical technician and/or one fire fighter per each 5,000 people in attendance at such events or gatherings.

There shall be a charge to the sponsor of the event which shall be the current detail rate per contract plus ten-percent administration fee for each emergency technician and/or fire fighter, such fee as shall be determined by the Select Board from time to time, for each vehicle stationed at such events or gatherings.
Any person or organization failing to comply with the requirements of this chapter shall be subject to a fine of $300.
