Sanitation.
Exterior property and premises shall be maintained in a clean, safe,
and sanitary condition. The occupant shall keep that part of the exterior
property that such occupant occupies or controls in a clean and sanitary
condition.
Weeds.
Exterior property and premises shall be maintained free from weeds
or plant growth in excess of 10 inches in height. Noxious weeds shall
be prohibited. Weeds shall be defined as all grasses, annual plants
and vegetation, other than trees or shrubs provided, however, this
term shall not include cultivated flowers and gardens.
Upon receipt
of notice of violation, the owner having charge of the property shall
have seven days to comply with the notice and have the weeds or unsanitary
condition removed.
If after
seven days the owner of the property fails to comply with the notice
of violation, the City shall be authorized to hire out or contract
a party or parties to enter the property to cut the weeds or remove
the unsanitary condition and to have the cost of such cutting or removal
to be paid by the owner of the property. If the cost of such cutting
or removal is not paid, the cost will be placed on the owner's tax
bill.
