GENERAL REFERENCES
Fees — See Ch. 56.
On each delinquent account now or hereafter owed to the City there is
hereby imposed an administrative fee, and in addition, there is hereby imposed
reasonable attorneys' or collection agency fees actually contracted for
by the City and not to exceed 20% of the delinquent tax or other delinquent
charges. The administrative fees shall be in addition to all penalties and
interest, and shall be $30 for taxes or other charges collected subsequent
to 30 days or more after the notice of delinquent taxes or charges pursuant
to Virginia Code § 58.1-3919, but prior to taking judgment, and
$35 after judgment. If the delinquent charges concern nuisance abatement,
the administrative fee shall be $150 or 25% of the delinquent charge, whichever
is less, but in no event shall the administrative fee be less than $25.
