There shall be a Department of Community Development,
the head of which shall be the Director. The Department shall consist
of a Permit Office, Enforcing Agency, Division of Property, Maintenance
and Housing Inspections, Division of Zoning and Division of Planning.
The Department shall perform all appropriate
supervisory functions which do not conflict with any statutorily defined
duties of any boards or officers associated with the following: Construction
code and the various subcode officials.
The Director shall supervise the technical,
secretarial and clerical staff in the functions of their respective
divisions and office. The Director shall also assume full responsibility
of all other duties as outlined for a department head or as directed
by the Mayor.
