A.
Design standards for the Borough of Medford Lakes are intended to be consistent with applicable standards included in the New Jersey Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan (N.J.A.C. 7:50-1.1 et seq.) and the Residential Site Improvement Standards (N.J.A.C. 5:21-1.1 et seq.). The appropriate New Jersey Administrative Code should be referenced for specific design standards beyond the scope of the Borough ordinances.
B.
The Borough of Medford Lakes seeks continuity with its traditional roadway and streetscape designs. The Borough's traditional designs are based on respect for area historical and environmental resources. Therefore, it is recommended that an informal dialogue be established with the Borough at the time of conceptual plan development, in accordance with procedures described in the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq.
C.
Furthermore, the 10/27/98 letter from Michael Baier, Division of Codes and Standards, New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, attached as an appendix to this chapter shall be referenced regarding "de minimums" exceptions and applicability of Site Improvement Standards.[1]
