[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Wilkinsburg 8-12-1974 by Ord. No. 1985. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The use and operation of motorcycles, motorbikes, minibikes, go-carts and snowmobiles upon, across, over and around public and private property within the Borough of Wilkinsburg is prohibited except as follows:
A. 
For parking or storing said vehicles in driveway or garage.
B. 
For access to services rendered by the owner or possessor of private property.
C. 
For traveling and traversing public roads, streets, alleys and highways of the Borough, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
Pursuant to Section 1121 of the Borough Code,[1] the members of the Wilkinsburg Borough Police Department may, without warrant and on view, arrest and commit for hearing any person or persons violating the provisions of this chapter.

A. 
Any person violating this chapter shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $600 and costs, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
B. 
The Borough may institute proceedings under this section by the issuance of a "notice of violation letter," assessing a civil penalty ranging from $10 to $1,000 for each offense, and provide the parties in violation of said Code section the opportunity to abate the violation and pay said civil penalty in lieu of the institution of proceedings and the imposition of the other stated penalties set forth herein.
