There shall be established in the Borough of
Hamburg a Fire Department which shall consist of not more than 80
members.
The Fire Department hereby established shall
consist of the present Fire Department of the Borough of Hamburg together
with such members as shall hereafter be elected by that body.

The Fire Department shall adopt such rules and
regulations as required by law, which shall be submitted to the Mayor
and Council for approval and, when approved by the Mayor and Council,
shall govern the Department. The Fire Commissioner and Public Safety
Director shall oversee and assist with the Fire Department budget
and administrative issues.
The Department shall keep such records and make
such reports as are required by law, and shall submit such reports
to the Mayor and Council when requested to do so.
